Upcoming Flash Fiction Workshops

In Other Stories, the flash anthology I have been editing and working on this year is almost at the printer. We saw a book proof today and it has a beautiful, vibrant tactile cover. I can’t wait for it to be out in the world.

For a possible 2025 anthology I will be running workshops in Cape Town and online. I want to work with writers to help them generate ideas, then create and edit flash stories. I am advertising them as Flash Fiction Workshops, but the ideas and prompts will be applicable to memoir/nonfiction as well.

The first workshop is on 21 September from 10am to 2pm at Bertha House. Please let me know if you are interested. There are two scholarship places available.

I will run a second workshop in November - date to be confirmed. In this second workshop I will discuss different ideas and forms, although the general principles and concepts of flash will be the same.

These two workshops will be repeated in 2025 with the addition of an online workshop.
